A Message From Atlanta Public Schools
This request form is strictly for parent/legal guardians to request student records for currently enrolled students. If your student is transferring to non APS public K-12 school, the new school must request student records via Scribbles K12 Transfer. Per District policy and the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) student records are only available to those who have authorization from the student or parent, guardian, or responsible person if the student is less than 18 years of age. If the student is 18 years of age or older, school records will not be released to a parent, guardian, or responsible person without the student’s written consent. All requests for student records/information will be submitted online. Phone, email, paper and fax requests are not accepted. Processing Time: 3-5 Business Days.
Records requests will be processed during normal business hours, Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:00pm. Student records requested for pick up will be discarded after 60 days and a new request must be submitted. The office will be closed for the following dates each year. Requests submitted during this time will be processed with the office reopens.
